In this picture, I see a hard worker going home after a long day of a tedious job. There are many elements and principles that stand out in this picture. One principle that the photographer captured or incorporated in this picture is movement. It is clear to see the subtle ripples in the ocean that are bathing in the glow of the sun. An element that is significant in this picture the shape of the clouds. There are a variety of figures inside of the clouds that is left to ones imagination. Another principle that I located in this image is contrast. On one end of this picture, there are dark grey clouds. On the other side, there is the bright and luminous sun that is shyly coming out from behind the clouds. The contrast of lighting between natures beauty is really highlighted in this picture.

The main focus or subject of this photograph is the man walking along the beach with a basket for seizing fish in hand. The posture of his body suggests that he has been working really hard. The wooden twigs are placed in a line, another element, which leads to the man. The lines give something for the reader to follow. I choose this photo because even though it is so simple, it incorporates so many elements and principles that bring this picture together and unify it.

As every photograph does, I believe this one also has a detailed story behind it. The man strives every morning to provide some sort of income for his family every day. He puts his hopes and aspirations aside and prioritizes his family; doing this job provides his family with what they need in order to thrive.

This photographer chose to leave him or herself as a mystery because they did not reveal a lot of information about themselves through this image. They must have been passing by and looked at the hardships of this family. He or she was attempting to capture the light of the rising sun beaming upon the cold, continuously flowing ocean.

This photograph makes me feel calm and tranquil. This is because glancing at this picture reminds me of a trip that my family took to Hawaii. This picture also reminds me of the warm and sun- filled summer days. That is why this picture makes me calm and fills me with warmth.
