Artist Statement

 

           As a photographer, my main goal in capturing images is to provide pictures of nature that have many meanings. The aspect I love most about photography is that one photo can provoke so many different thoughts in many people. Those viewpoints all show me another way to look at the picture. That is my motivation; to take a picture that can be interpreted in multiple ways. When I want to take a photo, I always intend to allow all audiences to view my art. Anyone can appreciate and critique a photograph. Photography can be a very complex art. I take advantage of this fact and make the viewer dig a little deeper to find one of the meanings behind my art.

  I believe that not much is required to take a good picture. A camera and nature can produce wonders together. Sure, photoshop can enhance that picture but no amount of it can compare to the beauty of the world. That’s why I yearn to use the least amount of photoshop as possible. I feel like I am different from other photographers for many reasons. I have no other motive than to provide the viewers with another form of art. I don't want to go down in history as a great photographer. I want to capture images because it is a passion of mine.
